What ignition does the aon come with?
Each AON comes standard with a Push Button Ignition System. |
Is it possible to upgrade to a mercury or platinum ignition system?
Yes, any AON may be upgraded from the standard Push-Button Ignition to a Mercury Ignition System„¢ or a Platinum Ignition System„¢. |
How is the aon built?
Each AON is made with a steel, powdered-coated frame and exterior; a CROSSFIRE® brass burner attached to a powder-coated aluminum pan; a powder-coated aluminum cover, a pre installed Push-Button Ignition System, and a flex line. Each NG unit includes an additional pre-installed flex line to connect the fire feature to the gas supply. Each LP unit includes a pre-installed 10-foot, 200,000 BTU LPRH (Liquid Propane Regulator Hose). |
Will the units be fully assembled upon delivery?
The units are fully assembled. |
What if the customer is connecting the unit to a permanent propane line?
Yes, to connect the AON to a permanent propane line, simply remove the pre-installed LPRH and connect the propane line in its place. |
Why does the aon unit have leveling feet on the bottom?
They serve two purposes: 1) To easily level the unit on uneven surfaces, and 2) To create an air gap to provide proper airflow/cross-ventilation. |
Why is there ventilation around the bottom of the pan and the bottom of the AON's frame?
Ventilation was incorporated around the bottom of the pan and the bottom of the frame to reduce heat transfer from the burner system to the surrounding top and sides of the fire feature. |
What materials is the aon made of?
The AON features a steel frame and steel sidewalls and top. The pan and cover are constructed of aluminum to reduce weight. The CROSSFIRE burner system is made of 100% brass. |
Can ceramic logs or steel logs be used with the unit?
Yes, ceramic log or steel log sets are a great addition to any AON. Please note that the cover cannot be used when a log set is used. |
