An optional outside air kit is designed to introduce fresh, outside air to the firebox as desired. It is an important accessory in newer, more air-tight construction for an adequate supply of fresh air.  The use of outside air for combustion is optional unless required by building codes. It is only necessary to supply outside combustion air to one side of the fireplace. This combustion air assembly is for use with Monessen Vent Free Fireboxes. Actual item may vary in appearance versus a photo. Included is the outside air vent termination and collar.
