Installing a power vent to your direct vent fireplace will give you the option of installing your direct vent fireplace almost anywhere in your home. The DVKPM power vent allows for a longer vent run from the standard 40 feet up to 100 feet. Additionally, if your installation requires several elbows or needs to run downward before running outside, it can! The powerful blower expels the combustion gasses from your fireplace while drawing in cool outside air.
This power vent connects to a 4" x 6-5/8" vent pipe. If you have a 5" x 8" vent pipe an additional, optional adapter required (SD58DVAX46). Downward venting is possible up to 5 feet below the base of the fireplace. DVKPM is a Horizontal Power Vent and a vertical conversion kit (DVKCV) is available. A wiring harness is also required and available in several lengths from 25 ft to 100 ft.
Horizontal power vent can be used with several Empire Direct Vent Fireplaces as long as they are equipped with a multi-function remote.
